Injection of Phosphatidylcholine Deoxycholate (PDPC) directly into fatty deposits in problem areas like the abdomen, inner thighs, and under the chin, emulsifies, or dissolves, the fat cells. Originally designed to clear coronary arteries of plaque and deposits, PCDC is no longer used for coronary arteries, but has been used for years as a less invasive procedure than liposuction. Since PCDC is a chemical treatment as opposed to a physical process, an evenly distributed elimination of fat is achieved. Multiple treatments can be used for additional results, as frequently as every three weeks. Results are typically visible within 4-7 days after treatment.
